9 Months

Its official! You are 39 weeks old. This means that you have been outside in this world over 2 full weeks longer than you were growing in my belly! You have done nothing this past month but grow and learn lots of new things. Everyday I am proud of you for something else new you have discovered.

Your world has really changed in your 9th month! This is due to the move we made into our first family home in Brownwood, Texas! This has been such an exciting time for all of us, but it has been especially neat for your dad and I to see you settle into your new place so well. We are enjoying making this house your home, and you seem to love being here at home with Mama all the time!

Physically you change everyday! Your hair is becoming lighter, thicker, and much longer! You have 8 teeth (that seem to really bother you at certain times of the day) and you have reached the 20 lb mark.

I have been emotional lately, knowing that you are growing up so fast. I find myself stopping and staring at you several times a day just to soak up as much of you at this time in your life as I can. Each day at home with you is a precious gift to me, and I love learning new things about the little girl that you are. I love that you smile and dance in your crib when I come to get in the morning and when you wake up from your naps during the day. I love to hear your voice say "mama" and "dada" over and over again. I love my special time with you at night as you fall asleep in my arms. I love that I have a built in best friend in you already. I even love that you can't wear 9 month clothing anymore because you have just outgrown them all. You are so beautiful, inside and out, and I really cannot get enough of you.

I love you,
Mommy

PS: look at what else you can do!

At Our House

At Our House waking up at 8 am means we slept in.

At Our House we fall asleep to Nick At Nite.

At Our House Dr. Brown has his own kitchen cabinet.

At Our house we have an entire closet dedicated to the Laws of the State of Texas.

At Our House 10 am to 12 pm are sacred sleeping hours. So are 2 pm to 4 pm.

At Our House not everything has "its place".

At Our House watching the Biggest Loser is the highlight of our week.

At Our House you might think a diaper change was a wrestling match.

At Our House mistakes are commonly made. Most of which are in the kitchen.

At Our House we find forgiveness.

At Our House the camera and the video camera are always sitting out.

At Our House there is always another chore that needs to be done.

At Our House the most common spoken language is baby babble.

At Our House everything is a big deal.

At Our House routine rules the day. Everyday.

At Our House the sweet Henry Family has already made so many memories.

At Our House we hope to have the same kind of happy memories to be made.

At Our House there is so much Love.

I love to be At Our House.

"This is why we can't have nice things..."

As most of you know, we have recently moved into our first home. One of the exciting elements of this move was the addition of all brand new living room furniture. We got a couch, love seat, chair and a half (my favorite!), two side tables, and an entertainment center on which our new TV stands.

Today, Tyler and I were sitting in the living room enjoying the new space and happily watching Anslee pull up on anything that can hold her weight. This includes the brand new entertainment center mentioned above. We watch her stand up, sit back down, stand up again and so on. We are talking about how much she has grown and that we can't believe she is pulling up and walking around furniture. We love it! Until we see this:

Unbeknown to Tyler and me, Anslee's 7 teeth were hard at work. Hard at work on our brand new entertainment center.

Don't worry, you can even see it from far way.

So this is why, sweet Anslee, we can not have nice things.

A video tour of the home is coming soon, right after we add our finishing touches to the house! :)
